the pictue is well exposed, the colours are amazing and so are the reflection.
Great sharpness with lots of details.
But I'm not sure about the composition, the duck look a bit cut,I prefer the whole duck or the head and neck as a portrait but that's of course personal.

Hi Peter,
the skippers are not colourful but still lovely butterflies.
And when they are taken as you have they are really beautiful.
A very good picture with right exposure and correct WB, all the
grey tones are visible. The picture are also sharp with a fine DOF, the whole insect is in peerfect focus and still stand out nicely from the BG.

I think this is a young male since it's not so colourful.

I think you have choose the aperture since the whole bird is in good focus and stand out well from the nice BG.

Hi Nick,
a nice picture of this beautiful butterfly.
They use to fly up here too very late in the autumn to find something to eat before the die as they do not survive our cold winter.
The admiral is not to get right with the exposure but you did a good job.
Good sharpness and nice colours.

sorry but this is not one of your best shots, I have seen a lot
better from your hand.
It looks you have cropped a bit hard and then add a bit to much sharpen. And all the empty space behind the butterfly does not add anything to the picture.
It's pity since the butterfly is very beautiful.
