| Intro: | Hi I am Callie de Wet & I live in Gauteng in South Africa. This is the economic heartland of our country, but unfortunately, also rife with crime. Hence, we do not just walk around and snap pictures, because your gear, money & life might be snatched back. Hence, most of my photography is done in "safe" sites, mostly wildlife reseves or avairies & welands. My wife & I are keen birders, so birds feature a lot on my photo menu, but I shoot anything that cross the camera path. We have two kids, now adults, & we are married more than 30 years. This is already more than I wanted to reveal. As for cameras, I divorced old barren SRL from my bed, and took the daughter of the digital to spouse - With appologie to Omar Khayyam's Rubaiyat. I close with a stanza from this great old tentmaker, because this is what we also do with our photography: Ah, Love, could Thou and I with Fate conspire To grasp this sorry Scheme of Things entire, Would not we shatter it to bits and then Re-mould it nearer to the Heart's Desire! About favourites - I have NO favourites, because I try & re-comment to all, which I know is impossible.
