(11541) [2006-01-15 16:38:22] [8] | Hi Callie,
I just read an article in outdoor photographer regarding getting the details out of the shadows. I tried my hand at it and it seems to work. What do you think?
I adjusted the levels, used shadows & highlights (+10) and then color balance (Mid, Blue-10, Higlights, Blue -10, Shadows Blue -10) Reduced noise using neatimage and then sharpened a little.
Please let me know what you think.
Regards
Gerhard |

I especially kept it darker for the mood. ISO 400 was needed for the bad light anyway. |

 Haze Removal | dsidwell
(680) [2005-04-10 21:38:41] [3] | I only did this to half the bird so you could see the results.
I did Unsharp Mask at 175 pixels and 20%. Then I lowered just the middle slider in LEVELS only a tiny bit.
I think it removed the almost imperceptible haze quite nicely.
What a magnificent bird and shot, Callie! |

(14719) [2005-04-07 14:52:04] [+] | Callie, I played a lot with your "1 second before the main post" only for the enjoyment to practise. I know that it does not disturb you.
Congratulation for your post no. 150.
Take care,
Luc |
