When I found out that my G'Great Grandmother was Jewish...and after she passed I was given her wedding ring which I had melted and formed to this piece here David...it is 24K gold...the chain is 14K. I also had one made for my wife...it is along long story but sometimes I shall have more time to share...

Hi David,

The shadow tool was used here to try and bring some detail back. I then used the clone brush to replicate some of the detail across the bird. I cropped to bring him closer to us and then framed.
Hope you like it mate

The colour of the trees is as a result of their droppings. The smell upwind wasn't the highlight of the visit.

David

I have a quick play with the picture to pull a little more from the image for you. I'll try to explain how I did it... but I'm still learning the editting side of things...

I selected the green area of the picture and set the feathering to 20 pixels, then applied a saturation layer to the pictuure. the feathersing helps with the divide between saturated and unsatuarated, aiming to give a smooth unnoticable transition.

I then selected the opposite area and again with a feather of 20 pixels, appplied another layer correction, but this time a colour balance, increasing the blue...

Finally after flattening all layers I applied a sharpening filter (USM).

Took about 3 maybe 4 minutes (once you know what to do that is....)

The effect is similar to a polarizing filter, but not identical. the white of the clouds woudl be whiter with a polarizing filter.

Hope you like it.

Emma
