Beautiful picture. I just felt there was so much distraction in the bird's surroundings so I cropped it tighter to put more emphasis on the bird. Subjective, but nice shot either way.
I cropped and used autofix to brighten the bird.
Went a little farther with the crop than my note. I feel like this puts more emphasis on the bird.
Still a cool shot no matter how you slice it.
In Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 I selected the majority of the picture to alter leaving a small border of the origional. Then I did an instant fix, and followed that by some darkening highlights and gave it a slight adjustment of midtone contrast.
This is the uncropped origional with Cai inserted. The vest w/ hoses you see on Cal is a pulmonary vest that vibrates him and helps keep his lungs clear. It is not used all the time and simulates CPT (Cupped Palm Technique) a means of drumbeating someone's back to help knock loose mucous that sometimes tries to accumulate during colds and infections.
