(21836) [2007-12-15 11:09:05] [2] | Hi Mario,
I used the dodge tool to brighten up the face and feet and also to show more of the immense detail.
I also used sponge tool to add a bit of saturation to the photo.
I hope you like it,
Joe |

(13461) [2007-11-28 16:28:35] [1] | | I experimented desaturating and darkening the background colors to see it if would put more attention on the squirrel. I kind of like the way all the colors now unify the image. I tried a neutral value frame instead of high contrast black. I think it makes the little squirrel stand out even more; an almost 3-D effect. |

 Contrast Mask | joelo
(148) [2007-11-03 16:11:53] [1] | Attempted to bring up detail with a contrast mask.
1. Made a duplicate layer with the layer mode set to overlay.
2. Desaturated and inverted the new layer. this resulted in a b&w negative.
3. Applied about 20 bit gaussian blur to the new layer.
4. Flattened the layers.
5. Applies a bit of an "S" shape in curves.
6. Sharpened slightly. |
