I used a "Shadows" adjustment layer to bring out a little more detail in the midground. I did it on my laptop so am not too sure how it will upload. : )

I like this image a lot and perhaps Bob wanted the whole image to be a bit soft. I felt that I'd like one part a little sharper... perhaps the whole squirrel or just the squirrel's head and eye. I sharpened the whole squirrel and toned down the exposure just a little in the background. It could be just my monitor that made it appear so bright.

Just for fun I wanted to see what a square crop would do for this image. I think it adds a bit more impact????? I felt that with all the space above the bird in the original the crop felt a bit accidental rather than deliberate???. Sometimes a centrally placed subject works fine.

I felt the foreground grasses took something away from the wonderful abstract quality of this image. Of course the small TN image lost some resolution in cropping.

This beautiful scene felt a little tilted to the right to me, so I straightened it and used a Levels adjustment layer to add some more contrast. I have no idea how it will look on anyone else's monitor!! : )

I think I am going through a "square" phase lately. I wanted to see how this would work if I moved the white snags out of the center and positioned them in the right third of the frame. I also think my eye is more restful. Before, I kept looking from left to right and back again. Now I feel more "grounded". I think the wonderful reflection takes on more stature in the composition.
