I think you should do a different kind of composition, to make spiderweb stand out more so that we are not distracted by flowers that are just BG details and are not so important as the central motive of the web. I think it's way better to spread the web across the whole photo and our screens looks stronger.

Hi Bev,
I increase saturation and applied Gamman - correction with Photofilter.
I hope you like it.

Now that Brian has me thinking B & W I wanted to practice with this nice image of Beverlely's. I desaturated the photo and used levels and contrast to get more value differentiation.

Trying to being out your concept a bit more, I cropped the moon and footprints a bit tighter (without the rocks on the bottom). And to bring it out a bit more, I increased the brightness. Your horizon line was a bit crooked, so I rotated it a bit. Finally, there was some noise in the dark exposure, so I ran it through a filter (Noiseware).
Best,
Mike

I wanted to see if I could give this image a little more dynamic interest. First I straightened the horizon and cleaned up the noise with NeatImage. I cleaned up the chromatic fringe on the moon. I felt that the original was pretty much all one value so I used Levels to make the foreground "pop". Then I added a simple frame which I think helps to set off the image. I chose a dark frame because I think it draws more attention to the footsteps and gives more focus to the scene and draws the viewer in. Anyway, this is what I would do if it were my image...which it is not. It is all a matter of personal opinion. : )
