(2864) [2005-11-17 18:01:32] [1] | | Just my two cents, Chris, but perhaps finally not worth :-). The idea is to give more importance to the bill, the water droplets and the wavelets. Looking at your focal distance, you didn't used it all, meaning the subject was quite close, so you still have some leaway to enlarge it. |

 cropping, highlight, USM | JeanMichel
(2864) [2005-11-14 06:45:41] [4] | I just cropped as suggested in my comment, reduced a bit of the highlight to have a better legibility on the feathers. Finally, sharpened (USM:70-0,4-0).
Hope you'll like it

 Levels, Contrast, USM | JeanMichel
(2864) [2005-10-24 08:34:19] [2] | | First, I played on levels to correct the overexposure. Then I added contrast (+15), finally I cropped out a bit and added sharpness (USM: 80-0,4-0). |

Several on PaintShop Pro9 | JeanMichel
(2864) [2005-10-09 08:41:22] | I've used PaintShop here. First, reduce the bright tones. There is a tool where you can work specifically on bright spots. I've reduced by 35.
The exposure was corrected, but it created a too reddish hand. So I went in the color palette, carnation, and choose the best one. Finally I sharpened a bit to get more details on the hand. Hope you'll find your hand closer to reality.

 DxO | JeanMichel
(2864) [2005-09-27 16:27:12] [2] | I just ran it thru DxO, and as i'm lazy this evening, set on automatic. I deserve no credit, it took me less than one minute :-).
Hope you'll like it anyway. |

 DxO and NeatImage | JeanMichel
(2864) [2005-09-25 12:10:55] [6] | The idea was to remove the noise while making the subject a bit brighter.
I used two softs I have on trial. DxO, which is an image enhancement tool, and NeatImage to reduce the noise. Both have been set on automatic, so it took just two minutes, but, of course, manual settings are also possible. I think the difference is worth trying. What do you think? |

 cropping, cloning | JeanMichel
(2864) [2005-08-29 12:02:57] | Sorry I didn't had much time to do it, but it gives the idea following to my comment. With more time, it can become perfect, using the clone tool with delicacy.
Hope you'll like it. |
