| Intro: | My name is Joost van der Werf. My country of residence is The Netherlands. I've started with photography at age 11 I guess and now at 25 I am still fascinated with taking moments of time. My most favorite topics to photograph are Nature, children and strange object (shapes mostly in nature by the way). I have been to Costa Rica recently with my Canon 350d and made a lot of pictures over there. My first self-saved and purchased camera was a Ricoh lx 33 w. My second was a Canon 3000 with 24-80 (or 70) canon lens. This one couldn't handle all the salty water I was giving it. Back to the Ricoh... The third I bought 2 years later was a Canon 300 (films) with Tamron 28-200 zoomlens. I was really keen with it, so was the burglar who took it without my permission. I had i nearly a year. Back to the Ricoh... The fourth camera I bought again 2 years later is the canon 350d. I doubted very long if I wanted to "go digital" but reviews on fredmiranda.com and dpreview.com helped me a lot. Also my mother in law (although not married yet) convinced me with her finepix 5000. I was simply amazed by the rapid progress digital has taken since the last time I could afford to have a look for. So here I am: Now walking with my 350d and 28-135 zoomlens (this lens got very high ratings at fredmiranda.com) and 1,5 Gb flash memory!!! | |
