"OE" treated, BG cleaned. | peter_stoeckl
(9245) [2007-02-19 05:09:45] [4] [+] | Overexposure?
Not really, as there are no "burned parts". A lot of information still contained within the white butterfly that can be brought out easily by postwork.
Photoshop Elements:
1) Backlight tool all over: -50
2) Colour saturation all over: +20
3) Magic wand tool selection of butterfly:
Backlight tool: -20
Contrast + 12
4) Touch up of slightly distracting vertical
element in BG to the right by transparent
spray paint.
Hope you enjoy. |

Also small touches on butterfly with "Burn" tool. |

Photoshop: overexposed whites corrected | peter_stoeckl
(9245) [2006-03-07 12:13:56] [5] [+] | Beautiful shot against the sky,
but the white scales of that butterfly reflected too much light from the flash and look overexposed, some details of the wings such as the veins have been swallowed.
Tried to fix that in Photoshop Elements.
1. Backlight adjustment: -100
2. Luminance and contrast:
luminance - 26
contrast + 16.
I think that a bit more details can be seen on the butterfly now. Hope you enjoy it.
Thanks and regards,
Peter |

Photoshop. Upper border increased. | peter_stoeckl
(9245) [2006-02-05 13:20:45] [2] | Please take my excuse, Jose: I love that picture very much. So I added a few pixels of border to the top. Thanks to the black background an easy job to do. Hope you like it.
Thank you, and best regards,
Peter |
