Entomology: Coleoptera, Lepidoptera (mostly non-Rhopalocera, including micromoths, especially preimaginal stages and hostplants), Diptera-Brachycera, Homoptera-Auchenorryncha. Botany: Mediterranean/tropical plants. Mycology: Ascomycetes. History: late Antiquity to early Medieval times, Celtic Europe, ancient Mesopotamia. Mythology/History of religions: mostly Celtic/Mesopotamian. SF & Fantasy: favourite authors include Harlan Ellison, L. Sprague de Camp, Michael Swanwick, Lord Dunsany, H. Ph. Lovecraft.
