To get rid of the partial piglet I used the following steps:
a) slight rotate ( clockwise ), then
b) crop off legs on the left
After that I did a small adjustment in colour, contrast and cripness [ the three Cs ]

a) leveling the wire doesn't help at all in the dynamics here
b) that the strands are not parallel in the first place...

(2370) [2008-07-25 22:30:22] [1] | As you can see I would use the very nice capture you have here to zoom in...
I did this by
a) rotation to portrait style
b) some additional zoom in by way of rotation...
untill the "division" of the heartshaped snake was on the diagonal from UL to LR...
A wee sharpening, contrast adhustment finished of yer fine - from a distance- shot!

(2370) [2008-01-04 21:08:58] [3] | I'm thinking we can increase the drama here by taking the following steps:
1) rotate
2) crop part of skink
3) scale up by 25%
4) wee sharpening
5) colour and contrast
We now see the sky reflected in almost all four of the spider's eyes!
