 blur and clone | Silke
(5406) [2008-07-21 08:09:38] [2] [+] | What I did here was quite simply to use two tools in PhotoShop - blur and clone.
With the blur tool, I was able to gently minimize some of the jaggies that appeared in the image. I simply brushed over them with the brush set at 50%.
The spots were cloned out. Each time I selected a portion of the blade with a similar pattern to the one behind the spot and cloned it out. This tidies up the image a little, removes distractions from your main subject and also reduces the file size so that you do not have to compress as much

(5406) [2007-10-10 06:35:05] [4] | Hi Natalia
I am quite mystified by what happened to your picture. What software are you using?
Here's what I did in Photoshop: I recropped it so that it's tighter framed to eliminate background distractions. Then I used Image> Adjustments > Shadow/Highlight to minimize the highlights caused by the flash.
I hope this helps.
Cheers

I hope you won't mind a little WS. In PhotoShop CS, I used Image > Adjustments > Highlight/Shadow to minimize the OE bits. What do you think? |

do the flowers of your bush look like this?
This grows wild along the edges of the park near us and have been seeded by the birds into the hedge in our backyard in Richmond Hill, Ontario. |

Thanks Evelynn! |

This was only a very quick fix. In PhtotShop CS2, I used Image > Adjustments > Shadow/Highlight to bring up more details |

 The community context | Silke
(5406) [2007-08-30 08:42:03] | | Here you see part of the odd little community that has developed on the pond. In addition to the white geese (which I cannot seem to identify, and would love your help with), the Canadian geese and the mallard hybrid, there are swans and other waterbirds that I have not yet been able to get close enough to to photograph. |
