(5406) [2007-08-23 06:03:58] [2] | Hi Manee
Congratulations on your first dragonfly! This is a really superb capture, but to make it jump out at the viewer, I have made some slight changes.
first of all, I cropped it so that the dragonfly dominates the picture.
Then, in Image > Adjustments (in PhotoShop CS2) I increased the colour saturation of the yellow only by 13%. Then I sharpened the edges only and this is the result. I hope you like it

(5406) [2007-08-23 04:40:38] [2] | I hope you don't mind if I try an alternate view to your beautiful picture. I wasn't there, so I really cannot say how it looked.
I thought perhaps the flash had caused a little too much brightness in the white portions of the flower, so I adjusted it in PhotoShop CS2 using Image> Adjustments> Shadow/Highlight.
I don't know if it is better this way or not -- it is different
Thanks for allowing workshops

(5406) [2007-08-17 07:45:55] [6] | HI Pierre
It seemed that too many details were lost in the bright light here, so I used shadow/highlight in PhotoShop CS2 Image > Adjustments
That way I could bring up some of the colours and details on the coats. Was it worth it?
Thanks for sharing your beautiful picture and for letting me play with it.

 Plant's Locale | Silke
(5406) [2007-08-16 08:36:30] | Here is where this delicate flower was growing: on the wall above the water where busy hands cannot uproot it.
The downside of this is, of course, that the roots of the plant damage the mortar and therefore cause the plant to be removed as cleanly and as frequently as possible. |

(5406) [2007-08-10 06:35:42] [3] | Hi Ram
Thanks for sharing this lovely image.
I love the butterfly here, but wondered whether it might not be possible to reduce the brightness of the flowers, which seem to detract just a little from the whole.
In PhotoShop CS2, I used Image > Adjustment > Shadow/Highlight and just decreased the amount of the highlights over all. That seems to have tamed the light in the flowers just a little.
But it's all a matter of taste -- so I hope you don't mind my playing with your image
