(874) [2007-06-25 11:06:27] [3] | I used unsharp mask at low settings, in Paint Shop Pro Photo XI, to remove the "hazy" effect and "lift" the colors a bit along with adding a touch more crispness. Then used the sharpen tool, set to a small radius and low strength settings to pick out a tad more detail in the bird.

Then shadow highlight tool, contrast/brightness tool to give more saturation and depth with the blacks and whites. Finished with smart sharpen and then reduced the highlight on the rear racoon with the burn tool.
I know it's not perfect but shows you what potentially you can do. Hope this is helpful.
