(2884) [2009-10-06 11:43:19] [1] | Hi Angela, for this shot I used levels and a saturation layer to reduce the blue cast, then I sharpened marginally to complete the work. In levels I increased the red mid-point to 1.15, and decreased blue to .85. In a saturation layer, I decreased blue and cyan by 30 each and increase green by 10. On a separate layer I sharpened the image with smart sharpen, then masked the periphery around the deer. I hope this meets with your approval. I have removed the copy from my terminal.
Regards, John |

To bring luminosity to the image | CeltickRanger
(15209) [2008-02-22 17:12:59] [4] | hello Angela
i decide to do a workshop
« how to bring a luminosity to tje image »
with out using LEVELS anc CURVES of Photoshop
it is very simple and easy and fast to do it
in the layers box you have the
- BACKGROUND LAYER
with clicking the arrow at the top right of the box
you can go and choose to
- DUPLICATE LAYER
now you have 2 layers
the bottom layer
- Background
and the top layer
- Background copy
to the layer of Background copy
you go and change the layer MODE from « normal » to
- SCREEN
and you gived the luminosity to the image
but the change is hard
so you go and play with the OPACITY of that layer
for your image i bringed the OPACITY to 60%
go and do some exercice and you will love it
sometimes i use this operation
to bring luminosity to my images
thanks
