Well i though the original was nice but could do with a few tweaks. Here was my attempt at it.
Croped the picture to remove the tilted horizon, and the subject away from absolute center. In CS2 adjusted the levels RGB 18 143 244; and then addeda photo filter, deep blue 70; then ran it through neat image.

A beautiful bird, what I have done is run it through CS2, shadow/highlights, adjusted the contrast, USM, added a frame and then ran that through neat image. Hope you like it

The photograph of the strawberries is a really nice one, I thought a little focus on the main subject my be better. Just my opinion.
I used PS-CS and the blur to blur the background after cropping the picture a bit. The ps work is not great, but I hope you don't mind

What I have done is to crop the image slightly, clone the hay out( was distracting from the subject)and use Neat Image to reduce noise.

There was a lot of noise, which I have reduced using the default valuse in Neat Image.
