I like the overwhelming diversity of nature, starting from molecular mechanisms, millions of different animal and plant species to fascinating habitats and ecosystems. I am particularly interested in butterflies and other insects, tropical forests and high altitude mountain areas - the more remote the better. Every trip harbours new exciting experiences and sightings of sometimes strange creatures. If possible I try to 'catch' them with my camera but most of them are only in my mind. TrekNature has encouraged me to make increased use of my cameras.
Update: February 2008
Within approximately 2 years at TN, the community encouraged me to make increased use of my camera and clearly is responsible for the developments I experienced. Not only the notes to my pictures were instructive but also all the notes to the numerous other presentations which I usually study. General view and also detailed inspection of pictures in combination with the study of the comments supported my learning process ... and clearly this has to go on.
I would like to thank all the kind TN people and friends for their support.
