This is a cropped and resized photo of the mule deer doe.She was watching me closely behind some willows and dogwood bushes at the time.She did not move and stared at me as I did my best to get this capture.

In this shot which is side lit,we see the little fox licking it's nose.This behavior is something I have seen all the foxes do and it is done to keep their noses from drying out and of course clean.Even though they live in dens made of earth and romp and roll about on the ground,foxes are impeccably clean animals as are most wild creatures,the same doesn't hold true for many of our domesticated animals however which is odd to me but I see what I see.I will upload more in September as by then the wildlife will be going south for yet another year and I won't have as many distractions by that time.PP was done with Paint.Net.

In this shot the silver fox kit has the mouse and would be to one to eat it in the end but not until it had outran all the other 10 kits first.What a sight to have seen with this little one in the lead and the all the others in hot pursuit of he or she.I really hope in particular to see this silver fox as an adult as that would be a great first for me.PP was done using Paint.Net.
