I have reduced saturation with Photoshop, I think the colors look more natural now. I also added a white frame. I think the picture looks better now, but it's just an opinion. I just wanted to show you how I would have done it if it was my picture.
I hope you like it.
Valérie.

The changes I made are rather small, but I think you can see the difference.

USM 154% 1px 4 threshold
Saturation at +15

I hope you will like the result.

Hi Jose

Thanks for allowing that workshops may be uploaded. As already stated, you have a lovely photo, but IMO it could do with a little bit of PP optimisation. I do not know what software you might be using or whether these steps will make sense to you (in relation to your specific software), but here is what I have done with your photo.

I determined the 'Black & White' points with the 'Threshold Tool'. Then I set the 'Black & White' points with the 'Levels Tool'. A technique I learned from Gert Ellstrom (ellis49) & Adrian Hutton (Aido) through workshops they have done on my photos. I increased the 'Saturation' of the whole photo with +10. Next I applied the 'USM' filter at 300, 0.2 & 0 settings.
Then I selected the trees and the entire foreground with the 'Magic Wand Tool' and applied 'Lightness' by +10 and 'Contrast' by +5.
The next step was to select the sky and clouds area with the 'Magic Wand Tool' and applied 'Brightness' -5 and 'Contrast' +7. Lastly, with the sky still selected I applied 'Neat Image' to remove the noise.

I hope you are satisfied with the enhancements.

Friendly regards
Loot

I saturated the colors somewhat, cloned out a some of the over-blurred areas, darkened the burned sky, sharpened and added a simple frame. My aim was to make the image richer without sacrificing the serenity of the scene.

Hi Jose

I really recommend that you go back to this scene and shoot some more photos there. It is a lovely spot and I am sure if you experiment a bit with different points of view and setting you are bound to take some lovely landscapes.

I merely addressed the colour/brightness aspect of your photo. You will notice the 'smoky' effect has disappeared and the saturation of the colours have increase although I actually had to scale down on the saturation settings. This was predominantly accomplished through setting the black and white points only.

Post Processing done:
I determined the ‘Black & White’ points with the 'Threshold' tool and then I set them with the 'Levels' tool. I reduced 'Saturation' with -3, increased 'Contrast' by +6 and increased 'Brightness' by +8.

The smokiness is gone and the colours have come to light. As I said in the critique, there was not anything I can do to the loss of detail caused by excessive noise reduction. I hope you like it though.

Regards
Loot

I think by darkening the midtones a little, the movement of the water is more apparent and there is a little more visual impact to the image as a whole.

I wanted to see if I could create a little more visual impact in your photo by increasing the contrast. I cropped it a little so that the one snowy branch and its shadow would be showcased. I did leave that little bit of snow and light at the top right. It adds depth to the photo.
