| Intro: | I was born, live and work in my beloved hometown Lodz, located in the centre of Poland. I'm a zoologist and academic teacher at the University of Lodz. Since long time I've been fascinated with nature, music, cuisine and history of Eastern and Southern Europe (Balkans in particular). Thus, this is the area where most of my pictures come from... I take photos since early 1990's and learn new things almost every day. The beginning was with the Russian Zenit ET camera, later it was Practica PLC-3 (that has still served to my friend Markus untill very very recently). At the end of the "analogue" times I used Canon AE-1P and Canon A-1, both excellent cameras, and a compact Olympus Accura Zoom 105 - I keep them until now in a drawer, for any case :-) After moving to digital I played Nikons for some time but at the end of October 2006 I returned to Canon. My main photographic themes are invertebrates, reptiles, amphibians, plants and landscapes. After some years of being a TN-member I see it as a wonderful place to exchange experiences, knowledge and also views on nature. I could not overestimate how much I owe other TNers for all the learning, inspiration and friendship I gained here. THANKS!!! Update (13.09.2008) I have decided to switch off my points. I don't think that collecting points makes any sense here - TN IS NOT about that. Learning and sharing the experience in observing nature is the clue. Hope you don't mind not seeing smileys on a side of my critiques and comments. Update (01.08.2009) It's been already 4 years since I joined TN. I have learned a lot and met some really nice people here... Due to various duties I wasn't very active here in posting new pictures and giving critiques last year. And I cannot say I will be now, but... will drop by as often as possible...
