| Intro: | Living in the Rocky Mountain High Desert, I have access to quite a few species of wildlife and some outstanding natural scenic views. I don't get around very much, but have some things to photograph on my acerage, and around it. Pheasants, Chukars, Hungarian Partridge, and Mourning Doves are some of the Upland Game Birds. Several species of Hawks, an occasional Golden and Bald Eagle, Woodpeckers, three kinds now, many other birds. Animals include Coyotes, Cougars, Fox, Wolves, Deer (Mule and Whitetail), Elk, Pronghorn, Skunks, Cottontail Rabbits, Squirrels etc. Lots more , too numerous to name. As to my personal agenda, I have no desire to aquire points or smileys, it just isn't my style. I don't give points and don't expect any for my shots. Most of my written comments will be that, comments. I don't truly critique very often, but try to make my comments informative, at the very least. Sometimes I succeed at commentary and photography- not often enough to suit me, but I try. I have been heavily involved in Sportsmen's Organizations, I am now in the process of limiting my participation, doing more "people things". We will see. I'll see how this goes, having been a member of TE and TL since the beginning, it seemed natural to come here. Addendum- As has been my habit on TE and TL, I only comment on photos. Because of the amount of controversy over points, smileys, critques vs. comments etc., I made up my mind about six months ago to follow my current course. If, in fact, you are seeking points and smileys, then I will most probably disappoint you. I ask for only comments on my photos, hopefully this will not cause consternation for people when I just comment. If you feel strongly about this issue, avoid my photos if you like- I do understand and take no offense. | |
