If you see on the clouds there too much red colour. I changed it to more natural. I hope you like it now.
Best regards Pawel.

Hi,

I increased the canvass size in Photoshop and cloned the sky upwards, to try and get the horizon on the rule of thirds. I then resized the image a bit (smaller) because treknature was giving me a hard time when I tried to upload before the resize. I hope you like it, and I hope that you approve.

BONSOIR ELENA
j' attends votre avis
merci amitiès

Here is what I did:

I think the leaf would draw more attention if I changed the background. In Photoshop I copied the picture into itself as a new layer. Then I cropped the background out in the top layer and gave it a little saturation to enhance the red colour. After that I removed the colours in the underlaying layer and gave it a heavy blur (7.0). Finally I flattened the layers and saved it for web.

If you do not like it please let me know.

I feel the nicest part of this scene is the water and surrounding plants. When I half close my eyes and look at the original I see the bright sky, the bright rocks on the left side and some central plants, then the lovely blue pool in the foreground. I really like the blue pool and want to use it to draw the viewer into the scene. Therefore I cut out the overexposed sky, and darkened the rocks on the left side. I also cut some off the bottom so as to emphasize the blue pool. It has a lovely shape and brings the eye to the brighter green trees and then to the lovely deeper blue of the water beyond. There the eye rests in the serenity of that water. I used Levels, Contrast and Burn to darken the image. The original has a grander scope and this one has a more intimate feel. Both have their merits.

Hi Elena,
Sorry about another workshop but I thought this might be helpful. I ran this image through NeatImage (available as a demo free on the web) and then unsharp mask in photoshop just to being some detail and highlights back. Hope you like this.

Just closer to this icy branches :-) And in green shades, like real wood, but their height was appr. 0.7-10mm.
