I used curves, S/H filter and USM? for abit more contrast.
You can use USM to add more contrast for dull and grey picture. it's a not so well known.

I did a quick 1 min photo shopping job.
Bright u with curvses, use S/H tools and add some contrast. Remove the halos with clone tool set to darken mode and pick up some colours just outside the halo and clone. You can use a quite big brush.

I did find your nice picture a bit under exposed,
I did a WS to show how it look better on my calibrated/profiled monitor.
I checked the levels ans add some brightness with the S/H filer, I also removed the purple colours,
called Chromatic Aberration
