Hello Goutham,
I used curves, S/H filter and USM? for abit more contrast.
You can use USM to add more contrast for dull and grey picture. it's a not so well known.

worked on curves for contrast, played around with selective colors, brightness/highlights to give more depth to the image and make it more contrasty.

Hi Goutham , I decided to give a better effort to my original workshop on your image , using the first workshop image and your original. I used the modified version selecting the background with magic selector , modified the edge for smoothness and to bring it off the details then created layer via copy of the selection, deleting the primary layer. I then brightened the masking layer. dragged and dropped that layer to your original , and reduced opacity to 20 percent. so that 80 percent original background showed but lightened slightly by the mask.

my original workshop had altered the color of foreground subjects which was an unwanted effect. in this effort the color of the butterfly and its resting place are not touched. and the alteration to background is slighter.

this is my first real effort working with an adjustment mask , I hope that the result is acceptable and to your liking.
