 Photoshop - BG noise removal | peter_stoeckl
(10219) [2006-03-27 14:07:09] [7] [+] | A shot of outstanding beauty, beautiful colours, sharp details, very well composed.
BG noise: Could be that my large flatscreen is very merciless when it comes to noise, and CRTs are a bit softer and therefor more tolerant. I have done a quick workshop to reduce the noise at the BG I can see on my screen.
1. Noise removal selectively on BG
2. Some noise still remaining: Selective scratch and dust removal r=2 on BG, carefully avoiding to get in touch with any contours of the insect.
Cleary visible difference for BG on my screen - for technical reasons it would be interesting to hear from you if you see a difference, too.
Thank you, and best regards. |

(2233) [2006-03-16 03:39:34] [4] | Hello Goutham,
Thank for message. You see, I asked about reducing of noise, because I see it on your nice photo (especially on green areas of background). It can to appear after adding sharpness, I think. And as I would wish to see your photos more perfect, I want to tell you about other method of reducing noises. Usually I use hand-made way, with blur tool, or gaussian blur on bottom layer and eraser. Also recently one of TN-members advised me to try program NoiseWare, it free in internet too. And at last, I want to post you WS where I just quickly use this both methods, and hope you will like result without this terrible grains :-)
Best regards, and wishes of new beautiful photos,
Elena |

(4046) [2006-03-13 13:06:45] [4] | | Hi, the background was noisy on this so I did the following in Photoshop: Used the magic wand tool with a tolerance of 105 to select everything but the Lizard and apply NeatImage to remove the background noise. Hope you like the result. |
