I think it brought out more of the lovely light. I sharpened a bit and cleaned up some of the halo caused by sharpening in the original. I used a more subtle frame so as not to compete with the swan. I try to avoid a stark white frame if my subject is off white. I think the pure white makes the swan look dull. If I want a light color in a frame I use the same shade of white as the subject. I felt the high contrast B & W frame was a little harsh. ....all just a personal opinion of course. : ) |

I did a simple workshop with your photo:
First, with PhotoShop 7, I adjust the RGB levels to get it bit bright. Next, I aplied an USM at ratio 0,3 pixels, 350% itensity, to get it more sharpen.
With Neat Image, in automode, to reduce the noise level.
