| Intro: | I have been into photography on and off for about 35 years. My main interest is nature photograhhy. I am particularly interested in birds, but until recently, I never had suitable equipment for capturing the kind of bird shots that I wanted. I just (Jan. '07) got a DMC-FZ50 and a red dot sight, and can't wait to go after the birds. I live on 1.6 hectares (4 acres) of woods and wetland in the northwest corner of Lake County Illinois. We have deer, foxes, raccoons, flying squirrels, and many wildflowers. I have counted 110 bird species in (or over) the yard. There should be plenty of opportunity. Now, I just need a little time. |
