Hi Cathy,
In ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5.5, I chose Auto Enhance to enhance the levels. I also sharpened slightly and increased contrast and saturation a little. I hope you like it.

Hi Za Kiwi,
Different types of photo-editing software, such as Photo-shop, Photo-plus etc, give the option of sharpening, so I tried some sharpening for you. The only problem is the more a photo is sharpened, the more grainier/noisy the photo becomes, as you can probably see in my workshop, but anyway it makes it a bit clearer. I hope you like it :)
