In Photoshop:

1. I reduced highlights with Image/Adjustment/Shadow-highlight.

2. I reduced brigtness with Image/Adjustment/Levels.

3. I increased contrast and reduced brigtness with Image/Adjustment/Brightness and Contrast.

4. I increased shrapness with Filters/Sharpen/Smart Sharpen (amount: 80%, radius: 0,3 pixels).

Hi Anita

I have toned the brightness down a touch and increased the contrast slightly. Then I have run an unsharp mask on the picture to just bring the sharpness back into your picture. Once you have resized any picture, (up or down) you need to run an unsharp mask (USM) on it to pull the details back.
