Copy the background in a new layer.
Apply High Pass filter with radius of 3 on the new layer.
Change the blend mode of the new layer to Soft Light.
You can adjust the opacity to control the level of effect.
Merge the two layer |

and the horizontal lines are shorter the verticcal lines of the white grasses work more.
