Hi Kona, in this workshop I was predominantly looking to re-position the owl, and to bring out his highlight colours a little better. I started with a crop to bring him lower, and left of centre (to give him room to fly). I then used curves to bring out the colour and contrast a little better. While in there, I lightened the face a bit with an overlay layer and 5% opacity white brush. I increased the image size to 650 so it might be a bit pixely. Finally I sharpened very slightly for the repost. I hope you approve.

I have removed the copy from my terminal.

Regards, John

on a mask, I added more contrast (and a little more light) on the face only. The face and the wings benefit this way of the same level of contrast.
{I crooped a little bit the top of the pic, for a better composition}
Hope you like

I felt that the moment could be more intense if we could focus more on the action and the shadows. I would have also preferred more space in front of the birds. But we can't have everything we want when the time between the click and action is just a split second.

Hope you like it.

regards,Kiran.
