The male's antennae are even much longer than the females. In such a tiny antenna there are muscle cells, blood and a trachea to bring air right into the tip.

Paddling flight technique

This Moth fly at my porch (Diptera; Psychodidae; Schmetterlingsmücke) is 3 mm long. It's flying technique is unique, using wings as paddles in the viscous air. The hairs smoothen the turbulences.

This is the 2.5 mm Winter spider, Lepthyphantes cristatus, a male. Males are recognized by the bulbous pedipalps in front. There are over a hundred species of the tiny Linyphiidae around in my region, so I may not have hit the exact species.
