I just brightened the flowers on an adjustment layer and sharpened them a bit.

I felt the whites were a little on the gray side so tried to whiten them. I'm not sure I was successful. I think artistically, a scene even in dull, overcast light, needs impact and interest. The image felt a little underexposed, so I perked it up some. I used Levels, the Shadow slider and Contrast.

Hi Dan,
In photoshop (this is ok in CS or Elements, I don't know what you use) I used the Magic Wand tool with a tolerance of 25 and the 'add to selection' button checked to select the darker area at the bottom, right up to the dark line across the treetops. I feathered the selection by 3 pixels and then adjusted levels for the selected area to increase the light. I then deselected and applied Unsharp Mask to the entire image, at 90% with a pixel radius of 0.3. Hope you like the result, it shows what it might look like using a split ND filter.

I use Photoshop to add more sharpness on the image. Do you like it?

Used levels and contrast to add brightness. USM 104, 1.0, 0 to bring out detail.
