(13269) [2007-09-06 20:03:52] [2] | | I felt this image needed a bit more weight in the foreground so to get that feeling I cropped to change the ratio of sky to foreground. I also brightened the image just a bit so there would be a bit more variation in values and more detail. I'm not sure how it will upload though. I didn't want to brighten it too much. |

(13269) [2007-08-05 13:55:01] [2] | | I wanted to increase the illusion of depth in this photo by increasing the value range. I use a series of adjustment layers to lighten the darkest areas, to lighten the mid-tone areas, to brighten the foreground. I think now the viewer's eye is more apt to look at the lovely bright foreground flowers first and then travel into the scene to the water and green shoreline, and then to the distant mountain and sky. It would look a bit better had the enhancement been done on the original rather than on such a low resolution TN image. |

(2837) [2007-06-29 18:55:59] [1] | Hi Michel, in this workshop I was looking to concentrate more on the triangle formed on the left by the green trees and brush, and the way it formed an apex in the blue between the sky and water. To do this I simply cropped in a 12 x 8 format. This made it a lot smaller so I have compensated a little by increasing the size to a point where it just started to show pixels. I sharpened with USM for the repost. I hope this meets with your approval. I have removed the copy from my terminal.

Just wondered what your "sundown" might look like with truer color. Curves adjusted & some NR.
