Then I changed the BG - transform colours to sepia (it was not very nice with this spoils of colour) and blured it.
Then I reduced sharpness. I think it is better in this kind of photos not to sharpen them. The cats fur look much better without all this noise. It seems more soft. |

cropping, mirroring, autocontrast, white framing, filtering of darker surfaces in the BG (NI). Your file was quite small to start with, but finally, details come out nicely.
Your note mentions "coat is grayish-red with silver undertones", so IMO, this seems closer to reality. Hope you'll like it. |
