George,
This is truely a LOVELY bird. It's a baby.
Your image "seemed" pale.
So, I cropped it to bring it "closer"; encreased the exposure by 2 points; and, added a frame to suit.
Inspite of the W/S it is still "YOUR GREAT CREATION".
Congratulations & TFS.
Mario.

Hi
In CS3 removed branches from top right corner with clone stamp, adjusted highlights/shadows for details and sharpened in Focus Magic plug-in. Hope you did not mind.

Hey George,

Cool photo. I increased the sharpness, exposure, contrast, and saturation all a little bit to bring out the colors.

I also cropped the photo a bit.

Since your image is fairly small, I think it looks better to frame it and the smaller your image the sharpen it look. I sharpen it just a little big and applied some contrast. I also cropped the left side there is too much background, that way the butterfly is not so much in the center. It help compositionally. I hope you like it.

The bird seemed lost in the scene, so I cropped away extraneous portions to make the egret and its shadow the subject. As well, I placed the bird off centre so we could follow its gaze.
Then I used Color Balance to add more blue to the water.
