A little fiddling here and there and it is gone. Neat, isn't it?
I did not touch anything else in this picture, I swear. |

Hope it looks better to you.
I apologise for the liberty taken. |

(25857) [2008-07-21 17:54:17] | Bob, you can see why this species is called Blue.
Mind you that these are very tiny butterflies (2-3cm) and rarely open their wings. I took this picture when I had my camera set to jpeg picture quality and I had forgotten to switch it to raw. That is why this image is of low quality. |

(25857) [2008-07-03 22:48:44] [1] | Goldy, this is what I did:
1. Cropped the hills in the foreground to 1/3rd of the frame.
2. Increased the contrasts a wee bit.
3. Added simple frame.
Thanks for bearing with me. |

(25857) [2008-06-09 23:28:12] | I thought of posting in the workshop the image of a similar moth which had created a heated controversy about its ID two years ago, Ganesan.
BTW, the controversy is still unresolved, though I tend to agree with the ID given in the Indian website I have referred you to. |

Editing on PS CS2 | ramthakur
(25857) [2008-04-26 06:11:41] | Sangeeta, I first straightened the image. You see the trees are lilted to the right in your picture.
Then I had to crop the edges of the straightend image because when you tilt an image, empty coners appear within the frame and you have to chop them off.
Then I raised levels such as sharpness, contrast, saturation and such like.
Then I put a frame of my choice around it.
What do you say? |
