 Added some sky | sAner
(4742) [2005-07-27 14:44:52] [16] | Hello,
All I did was copy some sky from the right and put it on the left so your crop isn't as tight as it was. Maybe it's too centered now? If you think that's the case you can easily cut some sky in the right. You just needed that extra sky on the left. ;)
I also added +18 shadows in PS CS2 so the details under wings are better visible. I hope you like it.

Pieter |

 Hello Sebnem | sAner
(4742) [2005-07-06 14:05:39] [6] | Hi Sebnem,
With the original (which has an already amazing quality!!!) I did this WS. I think it's better than the version you posted as there's no halo in this version. I hope you can do a repost as this is certainly one of the very best picture I have seen on TN so far. I want to add it to my favs, without a halo! :)
I adjusted levels and used USM (300, 0.3, 0).
Warm regards,
Pieter |

 Additional sharpening | sAner
(4742) [2005-05-07 08:50:11] [3] | Hi Andy,
When you told me you only used a 150% amount in USM and a low radius, I tried to sharpen it some more without getting noise in the picture.
I used these settings:
Amount: 400%
Radius: 0.3
Normally I don't set the Treshold, but because some noise was appearing I set the Treshold to 5.
What do you think? It isn't much, but it's a tack sharper now.
Btw; shooting in RAW is indeed better, but the RAW images take up so much space ... :(

Pieter |

Just worked on the BG | sAner
(4742) [2005-05-03 12:50:57] [4] | Hello Elize,
I just tried to make the BG a little more interesting and a little less noisy. I used the the Smudge Tool in PS for this.
I also selected the Heron with the Lasso Tool and used USM on him: 500%, 0.3, 0.
I hope you like the result.

Just a fast WS | sAner
(4742) [2005-04-26 12:48:35] [4] | Hello Janice,
I tried a fast WS. Don't get me wrong; I really like your original but I wanted to see what a little USM did. This is what I altered.
Brightness: +7
USM: 400%, 0,3, 5
And I cloned out some white dots.
That's all.

Pieter |

(4742) [2005-04-25 13:54:38] [4] | Hello Livio,
I cropped a little to get the Vulture a little more off centered.
Main thing I did was the UnSharp Mask: 400%, 03, 5.
I hope you like it.

 Hope you don't mind ... | sAner
(4742) [2005-04-06 15:51:45] [3] | Hello Elize,
This is my first WS and I hope you don't mind me using your picture. I really liked your original picture but thought a little postprocessing could make it better.
What did I do:
-Cropped the image so the bird was less centered.
Unfortunately this made me loose your nice frame and tag (name).
-Flipped the image horizonally for better impact.
-Adjusted levels to 1,20
-Adjusted contrast +5
-Adjusted brightness -6
I chose not to clone out the buildings because I think they're nice as it tells the viewer it was shot near a city and you could even guess it's NY.
Let me know what you think and please don't feel offended.
Regards,
Pieter |
