 Footbridge | sAner
(4744) [2005-03-11 05:49:56] | This is just to show you that I am not telling lies. Here you can see the Hoiho penguin walking to the footbridge. The little "house" in the back is a shelter made my the third parties. Hoiho won't lay eggs when they're able to see other penguins. Therefore they walk a long distance inland. Because farmers took away all trees and shrubs in the past, there's only grass nowadays. Because the peguin can't hide enough in the grass they won't lay eggs and therefore the local parties placed these "houses". They are also replanting trees, etc. but in the meantime these 'houses' are the only solution to help the hoiho lay eggs.
Anyway, there is a big gap in the ground (caused by a little stream) and it will stop the penguin from reaching it's nest. Local parties placed a footbridge so the penguin can reach it's nest more easily. It's not a fence but a tool to help the penguins in their already hard life.

(7531) [2005-02-12 11:51:27] [3] | Rotate 180 degrees - now your eyes "rest" on his eyes, because the bill does not continue on the right, as in the original.
Crop and enlarged in front of beak to give him "breathing space"
Cloned out man=made rock behind, now the picture could have been taken in nature. I'm demonstrating what you can do, not how good I am at cloning and fixing.
I also cloned out some of the feathers and the "strange" way his body? was rectangular in the BG.
I left the feather below his chin, but removed the white above the bill.
You can fine-tune this better yourself, but this gives you an indication of how to fix a picture like this. |
