First thing I did in photoshop was using the auto contrast option to brighten up the image a little. After that did use the highlight/shadow option to bring colors and details back at the back of the spider and it also did let other details pop up a little more.
After I did use that H/S option there still was'nt enough detail in the back of the spider imho and I did use the dodging tool to darken that part a little more.
These are the results.
