I did a few modifications. I hope you don't mind:
1: Adjusted levels
2: Boosted saturation
3: Duplicated layer
4: Smart sharpen removing gaussian blur, radius 1pix amount 50%
5: Duplicated background layed and applied gaussian blur 5 pixels
6: Masked new layer and revealed the sharpened falcon from the previous layer.
Subtle changes, hopefully they had to the impact of the picture.
