I Adjusted the levels and curves in Photoshop to lessen the hot white breast and gain contrast. Then I sharpened using smart sharpen filter.

1) Cropping, to suggest a different composition (I had in mind the rule of thirds);
2) On Photoshop CS2, Smart Sharpen, with these values:
Amount: 260%
Radius: 0,8
Remove: Gaussian Blur
Shadow
Fade Amount: 14%
Tonal Width: 13%
Radius: 1 pixel
Highlight
Fade Amount: 14%
Tonal Width: 13%
Radius: 1 pixel
