18 to 55MM lens

I used my 18 to 55MM lens for both of these shots. It took a few hours for the fog to burn off but the view was well worth the wait.

used levels and shadows/highlights to brighten the image at the same time keeping the background intact. hope it worked.

This was taken from around five foot away and I was using a tripod. The hay bale was one of those very large round bales.

Hi Ron,
It's difficult to improve upon perfection, but I thought that a little cropping might make the image a bit more powerful. I also nudged up the brightness.

This was actually from the first caterpillar that I had captured. It takes a little over a week for the entire transformation process to be completed.

I used to do this as a kid every year. It can be a real learning tool for youngsters, as they view the wonders of nature in action.

This is another one of the many shell casings that I found this particular morning. You can see the mud still covering the skin on the back end of this shell.

I used Hue and Saturation adjustment layers and masks to remove some of the blue color cast. I also toned down the highlights and the greens a little bit.
