 Hello Rick, | vanderschelden
(30145) [2008-02-03 06:21:58] [6] | Once again , I hope you don't mind. You allowed me to edit anyway;-).
It is also maybe a bit of an experiment.
Workflow...
1. Imported the image in Lightroom
2. Go to the develop module (call it the edit tool)
3. Now the experiment: hit the crop tool and use the straighten tool and adjust it until the horizon is flat. Probably you will reply: Hey fellow, it is a hill. Well as I mentioned it was an experiment, Rick. Besides these 'runners' are getting faster going downhill(just kidding)
4. further did some touch up work in CS3 as
1. tonal curve and contrast
2. a tad saturation
3. USM sharpening in LAB color mode; the luminance channel...
Kind regards,
Annick |

In English...
1. Did some levels
2. And contrast adjustment (more contrast)
3. Further on I selected the bird in luminance channel LAB mode
4. Sharpened somewhat
5. Some touching up through cloning
6. Blurred a bit the BG
7. Save for Web...highestt quality possible.
8. Frame through canvas

 Hi Marc, | vanderschelden
(30145) [2007-12-21 11:49:15] [2] | Very interesting image as I menntioned in my critique...
Was thinking what a crop might do.
What I did in CS2 was the following:
1. Cropping
2. Levels and contrast: quick automatic adjustments
3. Touching up cloning in left bottom corner
4. What I did (think it is a bit wrong in terms of TOS etc..)also is disconnecting the tail from the frame.
5. White neutral frame
6. Save for web; bring back slider to quality 200.
Hope you mind my quick attempt; like I said an interesting image!
Regards,
Annick |

(30145) [2007-11-09 07:24:57] | Well here is the cub. Together again:-))
It is one of the two cubs, running away a bit scared
referring to my story.
Cloned a few branches though in the face area...
Should not post it but Horia's input made me do it anyway. Should be with mom after all...(the cub, not Horia;-)

(30145) [2007-01-29 13:36:18] [2] | Hi Maite,
A post-processing workshop:
Cropped a bit; levels; contrast; saturation; cloned the houses; sharpening in LAB colo>USM;
save for web.
In Photoshop CS2
Chromatic Noise at the bottom (sea)can be reduced through for example NeatImage.
Thank you

 Hi Tomasz, | vanderschelden
(30145) [2006-12-18 11:18:11] [2] | Im my critique I already mentioned that getting rid of the tree area in the upper part of the image would probably enhance the image in my opinion.
In this quick workshop I'll show you a few options (tools). I used Photoshop CS2 as editing software.
My workflow was the following:
Draw your marquee so that you have the right compo. My option here was a '1/3 compo' vertical as well as horizontal.
Afterwards...I cloned a bit a grass sample to cover what has been left from the darker green tree area and afterwards blurred it a bit with the blur tool.
I did it rather quickly...it can be enhanced; no doubt.
Hope this workshop was useful and I wish you a great day.

(30145) [2006-09-25 10:19:00] [1] | I cropped to get rid of the OE green grass under.
Other options are there too of course.
Changed a bit in levels too. Black point at wood.
Should haven sharpen and afterwards probably reduce the noise too...IMO.
