Claudine was nice enough to do a workshop with my original photo that I'd sent her. As you can see, she did an excellent job of maintaining good detail and focus while removing much of the noise of the original shot. She is very talented and I thank her for the time and care she put into this photo.

Applied "auto levels" in PS CS
Selected the BG and applied Neat Image
Reduced for TN
Selected the bird, applied USM
Selected the BG again and applied Neat Image after having doing an auto profile

Using PS/CS2 I used the selected the BG and used the Dust and Scratches filter to reduce the noise, I the darkened the BG. I left the moon alone even though it is a bit noisy, I think It looks OK. When I tried to reduce the moons noise it lost too much detail. Hope you like it.

I cropped your picture a bit (to remove the leaves that are distracting attention), reduced the brightness 10% and increased contrast 15%.

In Photoshop:

1. I cropped photo on its four sides.

2. I increased shadow and decreased highlights with Image/Adjustment/Shadow-highlight.

3. I decreased lightness with Image/Adjustment/Levels.

4. I increased sharpness with Filter/Sharpen/Smart Sharpen.
