| Sad news | loot

Hi all you Trekkers.
It is with a heavy heart that I want to inform you of the sad passing away of our dear friend and fellow TrekNature enthusiast, Aaltjie Zeevenster.
His relatives in Holland informed me that he bravely and silently fought against the big "C" for many months, but finally he departed on the 19th October 2009.
Some of you might not have known him, but he will be sorely missed by Anna and I and I am sure many others as well with whom he had contact on this site.

Hi Loot,
That's very sad to hear. I did not personally know Aaltjie, but it's always sad to hear when someone passes away.Very sorry for the lost of your friend.

Dear Loot and Anna,
I had a perception of Aaltjie as a quiet man keeping an eye on TN and occasionally coming forward with a critique or two on the pictures he really liked. Ironically, he never displayed any pictures of his own. It was more than obvious that he admired your and Anna's work. On rare occasions, I too was the recipient of his reaction to my pictures.
My heart-felt condolences to both of you for losing a close and affectionate friend.
May his kindly soul rest in peace!

| Aaltjie as a member was coming forward with a critique or two on the pictures he really liked, but he never posted any pictures of his own but his critiques had some value and he was a great TNer and his support was valuable during tough times Loot.My heart-felt condolences to you and Anna for losing a close and affectionate friend and i feel TN has a lost a great admirer and a friend |

I'm just a new member and still don't know some of the old TN members, but knowing someone passed away is really really sad. Although i don't know the man, still i want to send my heartfelt condelence and prayers to the family and friends of Mr. Aaltjie Zeevenster. I believe God had already reserved a very good place for Him in heaven.
