Sperm whales are actually very easy to photograph (it the sea is calm - it wasn't on this day). They always spout in a certain way before they dive and the crew know this and countdown to the dive, so everyone has their camera ready. In Europe, they are easy to see near Andenes in Vesteralen, Norway (if you look in my Norway folder, there is a better shot).
