I have about 130 GB in CF and about 30 in SD. The largest is a 16GB card, but I normally use an 8GB III in my 1DS and a 4GB III in my 1D.
I have an Epsom 80GB download/viewer, but have not used it recently as I have moved to 250GB Western Digital portable hard drives (I always take my laptop) - they are very light and durable, plus I can take a few and make back-up copies of everything. The externals are great and have fallen greatly in price in recent years whilst increasing in storage size. I am not sure how expensive they are in the USA - it is a strange thing, but most goods are substantially cheaper in the US (up to 50% less) but I have noticed that computer and camera stuff is, generally cheaper here.
PS I have tried several makes of external HD but the only reliable ones are WD and Maxtor (they are a bit bigger and do not stack as well). |
